Carbon60 and our sister brands from across the Impellam Group are proud to celebrate the success of our 2025 Dragon Boat Race, held once again in aid of Impellam’s incredible charity partner Lia’s Wings.
On 9 July 2025, 14 teams from Impellam Group’s Lorien, SRG, Carbon60, Guidant Global, and Comensura brands and their clients, including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, 10,000 Interns Foundation, Abbvie, Workforce Solutions, Entain and The Royal Navy, headed to iconic Dorney Lake for a day filled with collaboration and camaraderie, goodwill, and glorious summer sunshine.
From the first race to the grand finale, every single team brought the usual blend of determination and enthusiasm to the water, each aiming to take home the coveted title of Impellam Dragon Boat Racing Champions 2025 – which, after a nail-biting final showdown with Abbvie’s ‘Dream Dragons, went to the Royal Navy’s ‘Digital Pirates’ for the third consecutive year.
The excitement and competition weren’t limited to boat races either; the teams also enjoyed opportunities to connect and burn some competitive energy in games of human foosball and sitting volleyball – hosted by Sitting Ducks – too, whilst a raffle was held to help raise as much as possible on the day.
By late afternoon, the collective efforts of all involved had resulted in a few weary arms and legs, and – most importantly – nearly £10,000 raised to support Lia’s Wings and their critical work in facilitating air travel for – and supporting the families of – critically ill children.
This amazing achievement and the event’s success was made possible thanks to the dedication of all participants, volunteers, and sponsors, including Focused Group and PayStream, and we couldn’t be more thankful to all involved.
We are already looking forward to doing it all again in 2026!
