Administrator - Recycling Support Officer - Bedford
Pay Rate: £12.21
Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday (37 hours per week)

Are you passionate about sustainability and making a real difference in your community? Carbon60, on behalf of a local authority, is seeking a Recycling Support Officer to join the team and provide crucial administrative and clerical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote recycling, composting, and waste minimisation across the community.
  • Encourage public engagement through new schemes, door-to-door campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor and audit waste collection schemes to ensure service quality and clean material recovery.
  • Track data related to participation, tonnages, and service levels.
  • Assist in contract monitoring and site inspections.
  • Provide recommendations to developers in line with council waste policies.


What We're Looking For:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and data analysis skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiastic about recycling, composting, and local authority waste services.
  • Knowledge of waste management operations and practices.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
