The Aircraft Electrical Fitter
As an Aircraft Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 helicopter fleet. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing engineering operational support to Flight Operations
- Accomplishing Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed
- Working to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft
- Completing maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems
- Conducting off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this Aircraft Electrical Fitter role, you will need:
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems
- Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems
- Up-to-date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations, Aircraft Line Maintenance, and Aircraft Base Maintenance
- An Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS
- Knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
- Experience on the H135 helicopter
