Rate: £60-£85PH

Duration: 6-months

Location: Steveange, Bristol and Bolton.

About the Electrical Architect/Engineer Role

As an Electrical Architect/Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems. Your duties will include:

  • Specifying and determining system electrical requirements, interface definitions, and characteristics between subsystems and equipment
  • Designing the power architecture, including power budget and power profiles
  • Developing the data communication and processing architecture
  • Ensuring compliance with requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening
  • Supporting test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification, and integration
  • Reviewing and authoring reports, guidelines, and processes
  • Attending and supporting design reviews

What We're Looking For

The ideal Electrical Architect/Engineer candidate will have:

  • Technical experience in electrical/electronics interface definitions and knowledge of defence/industry standards
  • A degree-level qualification in a related subject
  • Strong systems engineering and report-writing skills
  • Ideally, experience within a defence-related background, though experience in other engineering industries will also be considered
