Role - Electrical Engineer
Project Type - New build energy project
Location - Cheshire
Start Date - ASAP
Duration - 6 Months (possible extension)
Rates - Up to £400 per day outside IR35.
Hours: Monday to Friday 07.00 - 17.00. Must be flexible to work weekends when required.
Key responsibilities, accountabilities and decision ownership:
* Collaborate with project teams to design electrical systems tailored to project requirements, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and controls.
* Select appropriate electrical equipment and components considering project specifications, compatibility, and performance.
* Supervise the installation of electrical systems, coordinating with contractors and technicians to ensure accurate implementation.
* Prioritise safety by adhering to electrical codes, national grid requirements, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring personnel well-being and legal compliance.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into project design seamlessly.
* Identify and address technical challenges during electrical system installation and operation, devising innovative solutions.
* Monitor the progress of electrical system installations, identify any deviations from plans, and take corrective actions to ensure alignment with project goals.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, I2C or a related field; Master's degree is advantageous.
* 5+ years of experience in electrical system design, installation, and operation, preferably within the construction industry or similar field.
* Proficiency in electrical engineering software, CAD tools, and simulation applications relevant to electrical system design.
* Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to construction sites.
