How using a partnership-led recruitment approach helped find a high-profile senior hire in a competitive aviation engineering market.


We have a longstanding partnership with a top aircraft engine supplier, who is one of the world’s largest corporations. As a key recruitment partner, Carbon60 delivers a managed service that included sourcing a Programme Director for a high-profile new aviation project they had just won.

As a standalone executive search and selection project and working in collaboration with the internal recruitment team, we offered support across:

Our specialist team recommended we focus on civil aerospace companies that would have the transferable skills required.

With the combination of our existing and developing online network, traditional advertising and headhunting, we put forward 4 of the 6 candidates that where shortlisted.

Through our in-depth understanding of the business we were able to quickly and accurately evaluate candidates and provide a shortlist of people who were serious about the role. Each candidate was supported through the 11-stage interview process, which included help with travel arrangements and accommodation.

The entire recruitment process took 4 months and our close relationship with the candidate, helping him relocate and settle into the area, meant we added significant value to him and our client. We now regularly support our client with senior appointments, and they value our expertise in being able to consider those outside of their core industry. This forms a key part of our search process in this scarce skills market whilst not compromising on quality hires.
