Carbon60 is proud to have been ranked 11th in the 50 GREAT British Employers of Veterans 2026, the definitive national benchmark of Forces Friendly employment in the UK.

The 50 GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme, now in its fourth year, recognises organisations demonstrating the most impactful and sustained commitment to veterans, reservists and military families in the workplace. Inclusion in the Top 50 demands more than intent it requires measurable, enduring action embedded across recruitment, development, progression and retention. Securing 11th place is a reflection of the work our teams do every day to create meaningful career pathways for those who have served.

The ranking is produced through a rigorous assessment process combining detailed organisational data with independent evaluation by an expert Judging Panel, comprising senior business leaders, veterans and subject matter experts from organisations including Asda, Santander, the University of Cambridge and the World Health Organization. The results were announced ahead of the ninth annual British Forces in Business Awards, held at Grosvenor House London, where the highest-ranked organisation received the coveted Employer of the Year accolade. This milestone follows a landmark evening for Carbon60, one in which Tom Brough and Christopher Brown were also individually shortlisted for their outstanding contributions since transitioning from military service. As a long-standing supporter of the Armed Forces community - recognised through our Gold award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, this ranking reinforces a commitment that runs deep across our business. Every year, around 15,000 highly trained men and women transition from military service into civilian life. Carbon60 has long believed that their leadership, discipline and specialist expertise represent exactly the kind of talent that engineering and technical industries need.

We help veterans and service leavers translate their military skills into civilian opportunities offering personalised career guidance and connecting them with employers who genuinely value their experience. With many ex-forces professionals within our own teams, we understand the transition journey from the inside. That understanding informs everything we do, from the advice we give to the roles we help people secure across aerospace, defence, engineering and beyond.

We are grateful to everyone across our business whose work has contributed to this recognition, and to the veterans and reservists who trust Carbon60 to support them at one of the most significant moments in their careers. We remain committed to raising the bar for our candidates, our clients, and for the Armed Forces community we are proud to serve.
