Role: Rotating Equipment Inspector

Location: Tuscany & Bari, Italy
Working Pattern: Full-Time - Mix of On Site Inspections, Vendor Visits and Remote Office Duties
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Running until Approx. February 2027
Rates: €TBC Daily Rate + Expenses
Clearance: Right to Work in Italy
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection:
Conducting thorough visual and mechanical inspections of rotating equipment to identify potential issues, including alignment, balance, lubrication, and overall functionality. - Assessment:
Evaluating the condition of the equipment based on inspection findings, relevant codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API). - Documentation:
Preparing detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions. - Coordination:
Working with maintenance teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to address identified issues and ensure proper maintenance and repair procedures are followed. - Compliance:
Ensuring that equipment and processes comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. - Safety:
Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures. - Troubleshooting:
Assisting in troubleshooting issues with rotating equipment and developing solutions to improve reliability and performance.
Certifications and Training:
- The API SIRE Source Inspector certification is a recognised credential for inspectors in the oil, petrochemical, and gas industries.
- Training courses and mock exam packages are available to help inspectors prepare for the API SIRE exam.
- Hybrid training options, combining classroom and online learning, are also available.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment types, components, and operating principles.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
