Rates: €500 - €540 D.O.E All-Inclusive Daily Rate
Clearance: Right to work in The Netherlands
Candidates must be local to site, in Southern Netherlands with Right to Work and Residency
General Tasks:
- Responsible for the Quality Control of the manufacturing works of the primary steel items;
- Ensure Employers Requirements are implemented by the Contractor;
- Liaise with the different Contractors at their manufacturing facilities;
- Ensure competent surveillance of manufacturing activities across all sites;
- Capture all work progress, inspections, Non-Conformities in client Quality Inspection app;
- Attend site quality meetings ensuring the appropriate discipline is represented as required;
- Undertake daily monitoring of the quality of workmanship;
- Lead day-to-day QC activities - notifications, inspection points and closure of open points etc.;
- Review inspection reports and ensure they have been uploaded to the Project EDMS;
- Escalate quality issues to the Quality Engineer;
- Attend monthly and weekly quality meetings as required;
- Competently execute roles and responsibilities in a professional manner in accordance with client Code of Conduct;
- Work closely with the Project Team to manage Quality in accordance with the Project Contractual requirements including but not limited to, specifications, standards and norms;
- Report issues to the Quality Engineer which may require consideration for issuance of a Non Conformance Report (NCR);
- Ensure NCR rectification is tracked and auditable;
- Ensure general housekeeping of fabrication is maintained and controls are sufficiently in place to achieve satisfactory results in accordance to the requirements;
- Expedite required quality documentation that is not forthcoming by liaising directly with site personnel if requested by Project Team;
- Provide weekly progress reports;
- As requested, review, comment on Quality Plans, ITPs, technical procedures, and other Quality-related documentation submitted by the Contractor and their Sub-Contractors in liaison with the QE and other appropriate disciplines/stakeholders within both client and Contractor;
- Assist QE in the review of as-built records and record packs in their specialist area of knowledge;
- Support in contract processes for e.g. milestone completion proof;
- Exchange with Package Engineers when expert knowledge is required to close out NC and Concessions;
- Other QA/QC or related tasks as directed.
Responsibilities towards HSE
- Stay informed of the HSE system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work in accordance with the requirements therein. Obligate to react on observed non-conformance to the written procedures;
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during inspections and testing;
- Accompany site H&S Rep/Manager on Health and Safety walks/inspections.
- Conduct point of work risk assessments providing feedback to Project Risk Assessment where necessary;
- Comply with client and Project Health and Safety requirements.
Mechanical/NDT/Welding Inspector
Tasks -
- Responsible for the Quality Control of the Primary Steel manufacturing in regards to steel work;
- Undertake daily audits of random welding stations, checking all aspects of the process including check of welders qualifications for the WPS being undertaken, WPS is relevant for the weld being executed, welding machine has current calibration, consumables are correct to the WPS and are in date, fit-up is correct, materials being welded have correct traceability present etc.;
- Ensure NDT requirements are carried out by the NDT technicians eg. holding times, calibrations, respective equipment etc.;
- Attend inspections in accordance with agreed ITP eg. incoming goods, fit up, black inspections, dimensional control checks etc.;
- Review manufacturing records during the fabrication process eg. weld records, welding traceability, NDT reports etc.;
- Manage steel work aspects of punch list prior to coating;
- Perform and witness dimensional control test on different parts/components.
Qualification
- Qualified to Senior Weld Inspector (CSWIP 3.2);
- PCN Level 2 in DP, VT, MT, UT and RT or having previously held it;
- More than 5+yr experience at the required level for this type of fabrication;
- Proven experience in international norms ISO 3834, EN1090, ISO 14732, DNV-OS-C401;
- Professional standard of written and spoken English with preferable knowledge of local language;
- Qualified to use inspection instruments for the purposes of occasional cross checks;
- Health and safety qualifications as required (note, LIMOSA certification would be beneficial should requirement extend to another site);
