Exciting Opportunity: CNC Turner Wanted in Portsmouth

Are you a skilled CNC Turner looking for a new challenge? This company is seeking a talented individual to join their team in Portsmouth, manufacturing high-precision components for the defence industry.

The CNC Turner Role

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for operating and running CNC milling machines, working with Fanuc controls. Your key duties will include:

  • Reading and interpreting geometric drawings to produce components to tight tolerances
  • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Completing production and quality logs to document actions
  • Setting up CNC lathes to perform various tasks and operations
  • Programming CNC lathe machines at the machine level

The Ideal CNC Turner

To be successful in this CNC Turner role, you should have:

  • Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines
  • Ability to read and use measuring instruments
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup
  • Ability to perform simple tasks on other machine shop equipment

Experience with CNC lathe live tooling would be an advantage.

What's in it for You?

This CNC Turner position offers a competitive salary of around £28k-£30k annually, depending on your experience. The company also provides a performance-based annual bonus. The role is for day shift, with hours of 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
