Mechanical Engineer
Carbon60 is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work for a client of ours based in the Kingston Area. This position is a field based role so you will require a driving licence.
This is a contract role that offers a day rate for £450 a day on CIS Umbrella or Umbrella.
About the Role
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for taking the initial design information and interfacing with the supply chain. You will need to have a strong understanding of specifications, as well as the ability to order the right materials or create scopes of work for the supply chain. Additionally, you will support the build team in the delivery of works, collaborate with the procurement and planning teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and plant, and manage technical queries and change control.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with asset standards
- Liaise with the supply chain to facilitate the delivery of the project
- Order equipment and provide installation support and management
- Manage technical queries and change control processes
Qualifications and Skills
- To be successful in this Mechanical Engineer role, you should possess the following:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong understanding of specifications and the ability to order the right materials
- Experience in supporting the build team and working with procurement and planning teams
- Excellent problem-solving and technical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
