Surface Mount Machine Operator

This company is seeking a talented Surface Mount Machine Operator to join their dynamic team. As a Surface Mount Machine Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business. This is an excellent chance to showcase your expertise in circuit card assembly, fine soldering, and surface mount component assembly.

• 12 Month Contract
• Stevenage
• £19 PAYE
• £26 Umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hand soldering of Circuit Card Assemblies to IPC 610 & 001 standards
• Undertake fine soldering work under magnification
• Assemble surface mount and through-hole components
• Carry out detailed standard assembly and manufacturing activities, adhering to procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Contribute to the efficient movement of work and information in the manufacturing area

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior knowledge and experience in circuit card assembly
• Excellent dexterity and attention to detail for fine work
• Ability to read and interpret layouts, and follow instructions
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns
• Proficient in working independently with minimal supervision
• ESD training is preferred
