Overview
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Jig Technician to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in Broughton. This role involves supporting production within a wing box assembly plant by maintaining and certifying tooling and jigs to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reactive maintenance on tooling to ensure production continuity.
- Carry out proactive maintenance on critical path tooling and jig features following predefined schedules.
- Work closely with the Metrology team, using Laser Trackers and CMM instruments to check and certify various types of tooling across the plant.
- Support measurement activities for aircraft concession data and acceptance checks.
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship in toolmaking, fitter machining, or machining, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
- Skilled in operating tool room machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig borers.
- Familiarity with Laser Tracker and CMM instruments is an advantage.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to follow technical documentation precisely.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 20:45 - 06:00
- 35 hours per week
